GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK 2008 presented a dedicated event for government, enterprise and SMB solution providers, the "GITEX Business Solutions".
Nouvasys-GTS announced its strategic alliance to promote Oracle | Hyperion EPM and BI solutions across the Middle East and Africa. Nouvasys-GTS along with Oracle, held several speaker sessions at GITEX to demonstrate the features and benefits of implementing Oracle | Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management and Business Intelligence solutions.
At GITEX Business Solutions, Nouvasys-GTS poised to meet the demands of a rapidly developing IT solutions market, with industry analysis from IDC estimating that the IT services market in the UAE alone will grow to over US$1 billion by 2010. Various key speakers from Nouvasys conducted a series of presentations on its solution capabilities. New solutions from Nouvasys-GTS on Banking, Oil and Gas, and Real Estate were announced at this event.
Amongst the attendees to the speakers sessions, there was a significant interest from the Real Estate sector, which can benefit substantially with implementing the Nouvasys-GTS hybrid solution running on Oracle ERP applications integrated with Hyperion Planning and Budgeting, which will help companies tightly manage and plan their budgets, and create strategic planning reports for long term project profitability in changing market scenarios.
To cater to their existing customers and target the growing regional demand for Hyperion products, Nouvasys-GTS is growing its professional services team of Hyperion functional and technical consultants.
The Port of Singapore Authority deploys Oracle Hyperion Financial Management

PSA International successfully rolled out its Enterprise Consolidation and Reporting solution on Oracle | Hyperion Financial Management software. It deployed Hyperion Financial Management systems along with Financial Data Quality Management systems across its operations to improve its compliance & governance capabilities, allowing faster closure of books every month and controls in financial consolidation & reporting.
PSA International is headquartered in Singapore where its flagship Singapore Terminals operates the world's largest container hub. At the heart of PSA's terminal operation capabilities are PORTNET® and CITOS®. These are real-time e-commerce and computer-integrated terminal operations systems which deliver high reliable services tailored to meet a wide range of activities required by customers.
The PSA Enterprise Consolidation system is web-based, and will deliver corporate financial information to executives across the enterprise. This will eliminate the need of maintaining multiple consolidation systems and their various integrity issues. Hyperion offers "a single version of the truth" for the organization’s operations, thus improving insight into its activities. As the "World's Port of Call", PSA's Singapore Terminals provides shippers a choice of 200 shipping lines with connections to 600 ports in 123 countries handling about one-fifth of the world's total container transhipment throughput. This includes daily sailings to every major port in the world. Rather than relying on spreadsheets or custom-made reporting solutions, the new software can integrate information from multiple systems and provide a single and centralized view of the finances.
The new software deployment will enable the Finance Departments in PSA to accelerate and enhance their reporting status, analyze financial growth, and develop a single instance of financial reporting across their organizations.
This latest software deployment was managed in partnership with Nouvasys, Singapore, an Oracle | Hyperion EPM, BI, and Data Warehousing solutions provider.
Nouvasys launches Education Services Business Unit

Nouvasys Education Services is an Oracle University prefered training partner which provides a broad range of Oracle | Hyperion training offerings worldwide. Trainings range from classroom courses, web-based training, and customized learning solutions. The Education Services group at Nouvasys, was formed as an extension to the Professional Services practice, which was already providing its customers training during as part of their implementations.
At the start of 2008, Nouvasys consultants started training at Oracle University classrooms across the Asia Pacific region. With the demand for Education Services on Hyperion applications growing, in April of the same year Nouvasys expanded its team of dedicated trainers to build a Education Services business unit which would primarily cater to training at Oracle University training centers across the world. Trainings are also offered onsite at customer locations, based on individual customer training requirements.
Currently, Nouvasys provides training on Oracle BI and Hyperion applications, but plans to expand its training offering by the start of 2009 across all Oracle application trainings.
